I'm looking for advice on gas but not the gas from surgery, the gas you make like burping hiccups and farting. Those has been KILLING my stomach. The otherwise pain isn't bad at all but the constant gurgling and lurching is really hurting it. I have had some BMs so I'm not worried about being constipated. I'm just drinking Water, diluted juice, and had 1 Popsicle since Wednesday so I don't think I'm eating anything I shouldn't be. I looked for gas strips but only could find mylanya gas relief chewable tablets. Which of course taste like chalk and old mints. I did chew 2 of them a few hours ago hoping for some releuf before bed and have felt absolutely none. Hasn't gotten worse but definitely hasn't gotten better either :( any ideas?

I realized I burped more in the beginning because my sips were too big. Once I measured 5ml out and learned what that felt like in my mouth, my burping improved a bunch too. I was sleeved on the 8th so it will get better. The farting is different. What are you eating? I just started full liquids and each day added a new thing (yesterday milk, today yogurt, tomorrow Protein shakes).

I've literally had nothing but Water, diluted apple juice (maybe 1/2 a cup total), a Popsicle, a spoonful of Jello, and a drink of Gatorade g2. Mainly sipping Water and its very very small sips because my throat is still sore from the breathing tube. Just sitting up right now every few minutes is a constant rumbling like I'm going to have diarrhea any second but when I go and try I don't have to. But again I have had regular BMs so I'm not worried about that.

I had my surgery 7/11/13 and have not had a BM yet. Not much gas yet just a little bit I can have anything I want as long as it is liquid, I eat Popsicle, shakes green tea and Water, flavored water. Good luck on your journey. They pumped in 10 pounds of Fluid in me in 1 day and now I have to get rid of that plus my own weight but not much pain.

My surg was on 7/5 - I had and still have LOTS of that noise from my stomach. Sometimes it feels like hunger rumbles and other times it is just noise like before diarrhea. But, I actually do have diarrhea. I have had it since day 3.

I had a horrible pooping situation post op. on the second day, I farted a lil and leaked liquid stool. For two days after that, I had zero control of my bowels! I had liquid uncontrollable diarrhea. I literally **** the bed. It was horrible. It eventually eased up and passed! Good luck!

Helen.

My surgery isn't until tomorrow so I can't relate yet. I dd find and buy Gas-X strips though. They are in Walmart pharmacy (mint) and at the Dollar General ( cinnamon). They blended in with other gas products and I looked right at them for a few minutes before I spotted them. Maybe look again or ask a sales person because any pharmacy hould hae them.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
