Who was a revision patient

Who was a band to sleeve revision patient? I am having this done in 11 days and would appreciate it if you would share your experiences.

I had mine done on 6/25 and for some reason I have taken it harder than the band surgery. I went back to work at two weeks but should have waited 3. The happy news is that I can already tell a difference. I get a real full feeling and have not vomited all. The awful pain I had in my chest from the band was gone right after te surgery. Weightloss is slower than others but I expected that bc I could not eat much before surgery either. So far so good!

I was sleeved 4/25/2013, weight loss has been slow but good. I'm still having trouble keeping food down. I can feel full after one bite. I had the band and it just gave me a lot of gas that's about it not much weight loss in 2 years. The sleeve has been a wonderful thing for me. Once the band was removed, before I could have GS surgery I had an enlarged hernia which had to be repaired so I had the hernia and GS completed at the same time.

I'm getting my revision done on Tues morning at 8. Looking forward to a cure for my nighttime reflux and the ability to keep food down without vomiting.

I'll update afterwards and let you know how it went....

Is weight loss always slower for revision patients? I hadn't planned on that. :(

I'm not sure if there are real studies on it I have seen a few people on here that are slower losers after revision. I'm ok with it as long as I can get the weight off

I had revision surgery on March 8th -- and it was the best thing I did! I always said I'd never get rid of my band but glad I decided on it. I was sleeved by Dr. Aceves -- his team was amazing!! The first few hours after surgery were rough but later in the evening I felt really, really good! I did throw up in recovery and when I got back to my room. That sucked and so did the drain pain. Once that drain was gone - I felt 110% better! I wanted to eat, but yet didn't want to ... if that makes sense. I never want to see chicken broth again ;0

I cannot say anything bad about having the revision surgery, I really can't. Without it, I wouldn't have lost the weight I have! Good luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
