Steady losers ;-)

woooo.... im back. Crazy weekend in Indianapolis... :-) had a blast,

Eric and I "was just like peas and carrots..." hahaha

Nothing happened with him (this time) for those inquiring minds that might want to know. We were well behaved. Although, he did ask me early in the evening on Saturday if i would like to take advantage of him. I made light of it though and told him "you only wish you were that lucky" and didnt say what i wanted to... "yes" ha

But I am exhuasted - I need a day to recover. He is going on tour the 20th of April and asked me to come with him for a few days on the road. So, I will be up around Michigan for a few days later this month. Mini-road trip. THAT should be fun.

----------------------

As far as weight loss goes. I am stuck at 200... It yoyos up to 202 then back down... back up... back down.

I think I need a fill. I should have gotten one last week, but I decided to wait and just make sure before I got one. I am having trouble remembering to eat, but when I do, I can put away quite a bit of food. I just need like .1 or .2 CCs just to "top her off."

-----------------------

Thanks for the congrats Ms Jen! All of these ladies are kicking some ass with the weight loss. You've come to a good spot. We are down to business on this thread. :-)

Steph - good luck with work! :D

BK - WOO HOO on the scale moving - isn't that the best feeling? I weigh every day, too - wish I could go longer than a day but it hasn't worked yet! I just am trying not to let the scale dictate my mood for the day!

Brandi - sounds like you had a great weekend! Good to know you're having fun! And don't worry about the weight stall - my bet is your body is just adjusting to how fast you've lost and the scale will move soon. But, if you think you're eating too much, definitely get in for a fill. That's one thing I've learned - there's absolutely no point in "toughing it out" if you don't need to! I've got a fill scheduled for next Monday (my doc is 1 to 1.5 hours away depending on traffic, and I'll already be in the neighborhood next Monday so I don't have to make a special trip, otherwise I would have gone sooner!)

Sounds like everyone is doing really well! :) I love this group - my steadies girls - you guys are so inspiring and helpful. Pretty amazing team we make, eh?

boo- I hear for you , I pray for you ! remember positive brings positive so I am thinking positive for you !!! :D

bev- glad you had a great time :)

Steph - were do you live ?

bk- lets make that goal for both of us ? sound good ?

Ok girls I dont know if you had ever tried the dieters green tea well I use to use it a lot well it made a diffrence on Sat I took a cup of tea before Breakfast and then went walking for 6 miles well yes it make you go to the bathroom but for some odd reason the scale started moving :) so needed to pass it on to my girls I only took that cup and that was all. It clean me out maybe or I dont know what but it worked . :) so just wanted to let you all know . hopefully I am down hill from then :) yay!!

17 more days for my adventure in chicago yay!!!! I am so excited can you tell . :)

ok now just a little note on friday I went to a bday party and some of my mom family was there and they dont know that I had surgery . so one of my cousins asked me so how much weight have you losts now you look good . I said aaah about maybe 25 lol she was like really well I am sure you will regain them soon . I said yeah I guess . Inside me I was like you B--tch that is not going to happen lol . Its funny how people cant deal or more like sometimes your own family will not accept you are doing something for your self and instead of congratulating you they always give you the negative of it. for some reason it happend with my cousin that day and the next they with one of my friends . lol but I dont care lol I know the truth and all of you know my goal . and that why I love you all !!!

have a great monday and all of us together will make our goals come true .

I thinking we all should start planning some kind of trip or something to get to see each other what do you think ?

clau!!:clap2:

wow Claudia I can't believe your cousin would say something like that! That was cruel. I suspect my one friend may say something like that behind my back but she knows better then to say it to me. I live in PA.

I got horribly sick today on a lean cuisine enchilda with rice. Severe pain. I ate my enchilda around noon and saved the rice until about 2 and I think it was dry. I was really hoping I would throw up, tried the finger in the throat and all I got was slimed. I slimed for about 2 hours. The pain has subsided and I'm ok now. THANK YOU LORD!

I think I'll have Soup for supper.

Bman sounds like you had a fun weekend. I'm assuming he's with a band?

Claud - I am excited for you too!! We will have to go take over Chi-town together some day... I love Chicago. I know your gonna blow your friend away.

Ignore those people that make comments. That person was acting like a B*tch. Not cool to anticipate someones failure. I think many people secretly wish for us to fail. Not to be mean. Just becuase they cant accomplish something so wonderful themselves... and they are jealous. Skinny, fat... they all have short comings... and they feel better when others fail... makes them not feel so bad about themselves when others dont accompish their goals. THAT doesnt make it right.

Show them up girl!! we are gonna beat this!

Steph - yeah, he's a musician. I should send you a picture. HA. Then you'd know who I was talking about. I was good friends with one of his friends. We were introduced. The friend left, and he and I have been close ever since. Thats why we are going to Milwuakee in May. They are playing some huge two day concert up there and he has to take his Brandi with him. :-)

Its got its perks. ha. Lots of excuses to travel. and I am well protected by big beastly metal heads when I do have time to go. (but secretly they are all big teddy bears). They know groupies, girlfriends, and bass players... they come and go but Brandi is family.

bkwalling - haha... my scale jumps all at once... it goes weeks and then BOOM. I'm waiting for a BOOM. I guess that means I shouldnt have eaten that oatmeal cookie earlier today.

My FIRST cookie!! It was pretty good, but a few more pounds down would be better. damn cookie!

Brandi - I was just looking at our tickers and you're the only one who's got half of it off. good for you! and Banannie is right behind you - good for you too Anna banana! Email me a pic - I'd love to see who you're talking about.

I've been reading about how many calories I actually need. Its so confusing! One article says one thing and another says something else. The one says I should have about 1500-1600 a day. But then in order to lose 2 lbs a week I would have to up my exercise to 500 calories burned - right now I'm only burning about 200. Its funny because I know all of this, no one knows more about fat then a fat lady.. haha... but it inspires me to read it again. They all talk about the importance of exercise, bc if you just cut back 1000 calories then your body thinks its sick and needs to hold on to the fat, but if you split that and use 500 in exercise your body thinks ok I'm healthy so I'll just take from the fat store. HA.. like all of that is new to you guys. My blog for the day.

I got sick again last night - after work I had to run to town to meet dh and the lawyer and then I had to go with my dd to fire queen practice - so I stopped after the lawyer to get some Soup at the deli and they didn't have any "good" soup, it was cheesy and fatty - so I ran next door to subway. I get turkey with sweet onion sauce... yum... I was able to eat it ok, about half, I eat it sideways, from the open side back so that I don't eat as much of the bread... anyhoo... it was ok, went to practice for a couple hours, got home and I took a pill and OMGoodness!!!! Total pain again. WTHeck is up with that? I just wanted to throw up but of course couldn't. I tried to drink some pineapple juice and even tiny sips made it worse. I slimed for a good while. Dh said maybe you just have the flu... by this time I was in bed shivering. I don't know if it was still that undigested rice or what.. something was totally stuck. I slimed enough that I could finally fall asleep and I slept good and I feel hungry now but still scared to eat. I really need to get a grip on good band habits.

VA Kirsten - how ya doing?

Welcome - yes we are like family on this thread. If you go back to the first few pages of this thread I think we talk about alot of stuff. Or our first thread was December Bandsters. Most of us were banded in Dec., our December thread got so big we lost track of each other so we started a Steady loser thread. We didn't do it to keep people out just to keep track of each other - we are nice and welcome everyone. We all know how it feels to be waiting to hear from your insurance, then waiting for a band date, then the pre-op diet... if you have any questions just ask.

Hey ladies!! Finally back in the land of internet! I've been in GA for a few days visiting my best friend, who does not have internet access at her house, so I missed a few days! (And hopefully did not gain any pounds!!).

STEPH....You're only 2 hrs away? We definitely should try to meet up in the middle some day! I'm doing ok....Very busy month ahead. Still need to call my Dr. and get my medical records transferred to the local Doc so I can get a fill. Its weird...some days I feel like I need a fill, but other days I feel really good rescriction so I'm just not sure if I should get a fill or not?? I think I also need to really focus on eating slower and listening to my body when it tells me to stop....I think I've been pushing too much food into my pouch b/c my "head" is bigger than my stomach!!

BOO....SO sorry to hear about the lump!!! But defintiely do NOT listen to your current Dr. and RUN not walk to a specialist ASAP!!! You are in charge of your health!! My Moms life was saved b/c 20 yrs ago she didn't listen to her primary care Doc who told her that a lump was no big deal (turned out to be breast cancer, but my mom caught it early and has had a perfect bill of health since then!). So Hang in there....I know its stressfull, but you'll get through it!

Ok, I'm exhausted....I'll catch up more w/you all later...just wanted to pop in and say HI and let you know I didn't fall off the face of the earth!

Kirsten I was feeling the same before I got this last fill. But then it had only been 2 weeks since my previous fill. I definitely feel this fill better then any of the others I've had. I'm really having to follow the band rules - I always tend to take one bite too much and make myself miserable. I need to stop when my nose runs. I still have that love of food and its so hard to just stop when theres so much more to be eaten. :D Eventually I'll develope the healthy eating habits that I know I need to. Sounds like you had a nice time in Ga - girl you do alot of traveling! Where do you work that allows you all that travel time?

I leave tomorrow for my dd's competition - my other dd is meeting us there so its bound to be a nice weekend. I should have internet access with my dd laptop in the hotel but not sure... if not I'll talk to you all Monday!

So, i got stuck on a piece of chicken last night. Threw it up... thank god. Thought I was gonna die. I'd fixed the whole meal for my family, and then got stuck on the FIRST bite. i didnt get to eat a damn bit of the meal I spent 3 hours cooking. :o

So, then later i thought potato Soup is warm and should go down. NO!

I cant even get down potato soup. So, Im hungry... and pissed.

My dr. could have done the unfill this morning, but I have to work and cant go... so i have to stay on liquids until tomorrow night to get my unfill.

This sucks... I am so hungry and this Protein Shake that is gurgling down is NOT cutting it.

PISSED!:angry

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
