Was anyone stuck at 205-200 trying to get under 200!

Recommended Posts

Okay to clarify, I have been stuck at 202 for almost two weeks! I'm frustrated. I'm three months out and down 72 pounds. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I feel like it's because I'm about to be under 200 but maybe just trippin lol. I'm irritated. I've been to the gym three times this week, up in my Protein. I don't get it!!! Anyone had this situation before?! Thanks in advance.

Good morning and congratulations on such a remarkable weight loss! WOW!

I'm in the early stages if this journey however from what I've read on these forums is that then"stalling" seems normal. My assumption is that your body is playing catch-up to your quick loss. Hang in there, I'm certain this will pass: sounds like your doing all the correct things.

Once more..congrats on the loss!!

Cheers!

I got stuck at 201 for a little while. Seemed like my body was fighting getting into onederland. LoL!!

After such a drastic loss in such a short amount of time, your body may just be taking a break to figure out what the heck is going on.

Also remember that while lbs might not be coming off, inches might be.

Soon you will get on the scale and the magical number of 199 will pop up.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
