Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 7/1 and am down 23 pounds but am also stalled. I did find that if I didn't get in enough calories I would actually gain!!! However I haven't gained anymore just not lost any either. I'm thinking I am not getting in all my Protein ????

I stalled for about 8 days but the scale finally started moving again a few days ago. I have lost 31 lbs since surgery and I am feeling great. I just cleaned out my closet this morning of all the clothes that are getting too big and all the ones I will be swimming in come fall and winter. Gonna need all new jeans and sweaters and I love it!

Surgery date 7/1/13

SW. 231

SUrgW:221

CW: 208

Height: 5'8

I too have problems getting all my Water in. I'm getting about 40-50 oz a day

I haven't started much exercise other than gardening and mowing the law. I hate exercise! Lol

I'm eating normal foods now and not having any problems. I'm trying to stay around 700 calories a day while still getting 70 grams of Protein which has been challenging.

Hey y'all! We've got to get this thread going again! I'm following the other July threads' date=' but those sleevers are weeks behind us!

I'LL START

5' 4" 29 yrs.

SW: 277

CW: 253

I've dropped 24 lbs since 7/1 and haven't lost an ounce in 2 weeks!!! I think it's because I'm only getting ~32oz of fluids a day. :-/ Must increase! However, I measured and have lost 29 inches from my body!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! I'm worried about my caloric intake because my NUT told me minimum of 1000, but that's seems waaaaay to much. So I set my own goal of 500-600. I'm trying to figure how to break this stall!!!!

Yesterday, I had my first NSV and got to scratch an item off my "Skinny Bucket List"... I crossed my legs comfortably and I didn't even know I was doing it! I just looked down and my legs were crossed and my pants were baggy!

This encouraged me to compare pics... And HOLY SHMOLIES.... The difference in unbelievable!!! I've already lost my neck and a few chins!!!

Tell us... We all need the encouragement in knowing we are not alone!!! Who better to talk to than the July 1 Sleevers!!!!

What are your week 4 stats?

How much are you eating?

Calorie range?

Have you stalled, yet?

Any NSV's?

Who can actually drink 64 oz?!?!?!?

What kind if exercising are you doing?

Pictures?[/quote']

You look great! I was sleeved June 24th! I am 5'3" & now weigh 252lbs. So we are about the same! Except I am 45 years old. ;) I'm having a tough time with exactly like you! Zapped of no energy, can't get enough calories or Water in.

Yesterday I went to the hospital and they had to give me two bags of fluids. I was dehydrated!

I have to drink a shake in the morning. It's such a chore for me! I eat imatation crab, tuna, canned chicken, string cheese & yogurt. I also have bought some ostrich beef sticks from Vitamin Shoppe. They are good. 14 grams of Protein, 4% fat & 80 calories. It fixes my craving for a steak.

I guess I have stalled, but not really concerned since it sounds normal. I also just had my "monthy bill" last week. So, I'm sure that did not help! ;)

My highest was 301.

Pre-op starting 286.

Day of surgery 273.

Weight as of Friday, 26th July 252.

I will post a picture of me as well. Thanks for posting. Sure helps for support!

Wow ladies you are doing really well and from the pics I see you look great!! I had a stall from day 10 to day 24 where I did not lose anything, but started moving again a couple of days ago. I'm also struggling with the Fluid - probably averaging 40 oz. My energy levels are really low.

What are your week 4 stats?

Surgery Date: 7/1/2013

Age 41

Height: 5'1

First weight -in with Surgeon: 225

SW: 220

CW: 199 (onderland!!!!!!! as of today)

How much are you eating? Way too little I think - I need to see a dietician (my surgeons is on leave)

Calorie range? 400 to 500

Have you stalled, yet? Day 10 to 24

Any NSV's?

Who can actually drink 64 oz?!?!?!? 40 oz only - I try every day to get to 64 oz and fail miserably

What kind if exercising are you doing? nothing yet. I'm exhausted just running up and down stairs at home. Now realizing that it may be that I'm not eating enough.

Weird thing for me - my clothes still fit me (must have been squeezing myself into my clothes) and only one friend has even noticed that I have lost weight. I can see a big difference though.

First I want to say that this string is the main reason I love this app. Just when you think that you are alone in something you are experiencing someone starts a topic that totally relates to you.

THE STALL! I was stalled for about 10 days or so and completely had an mini freak out. Glad to hear that others have had this experience. Got on the scale yesterday and drum roll please....I saw some movement (almost 3lbs). I am having the same issues that most of you have identified- Fluid intake only around 40-50oz , calories only at about 400 or so and exercise is minimal(I did some dancing 2 or 3 times this week and did some walking at the farmers market. Another question for all- you guys getting in your Vitamins? I really have to push myself they are all chewable and I hate the taste. Pre op they tasted great but taste buds seemed to have change.

Pre op W- 251lbs

SW- 243lbs

CW- 219lbs

Total WL- 33lbs

Thank you for starting this!!

I am 31 yrs old and 5'9"

I was sleeved on July 1st.

Starting weight 312

Surgery date weight 297

Current weight 277

I am getting 350-500 calories per day and just started soft foods. I get in 50-64 oz of liquids. But really struggle to get in my shake. Now it makes me sick feeling. I too can cross my legs. I did it and didn't even realize it too. My clothes are getting baggy. My nursing scrubs look ridiculous and my face has started to thin out. I have stalled for almost a week. I started stalling when I introduces foods pureed and now soft. I am wondering if it has something to do with that. I will try to get pics posted soon. I did full pics the day before surgery and plan to take them monthly on my anniversary date.

For exercise I walk 30+ min, bike for 45+ min. Do light weights and the treadmill. I am thinking of starting the 30 day shred as it has cardio and strength. I try to get 30 min + per day but have been slacking a little as I had an overwhelming week at work. This week is a new week and I plan do get my motivation back!

I purchased my Vitamins at Wal-Mart. Nearly all off brand. They taste like Gummy bears and I love them

I bought the caramel flavored calcium chews. They taste like candy. The worst is the liquid B12

I found gummy b12 that I only have to take once per week at Wal mart.... They taste fine!!

I will have to look for those. I find the shakes too sweet but try to force one down. I add Peanut Butter to up the Protein. I saw some pb flakes today at central market that have 85% less fat. Hss anyone tried them?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
