What a trooper! Oh...gum.

I snorted.

You're not the only one! Haha! Anyways, I think you should be fine with the gum. You're stomach is still good at digesting, only thing you've limited was the "fitting" aspect of it, so if it were a problem you would have had it come out one way or another by now. Just try be careful lol. (I've done it before though haha....no avoiding it. That stuff is slippery!)

As I told my 6 year old granddaughter, you have to be very careful swallowing gum because if you fart you will blow a gum bubble and your arse cheeks will stick together.

My dietitian said to be careful if u chew gun cuz swallowing it can cause a blocked stoma --? Not quite sure what that I think it's an opening- your newly out I'm sure ill be ok

But

I'd call your surgeons office now and talk to them- maybe they need to do an X-ray to bake sure it's ok just to be safe

Lmao!!! At first I thought, "Hmmmm... maybe this should be in the powder room." Thanks for the laugh, I needed it this morning!

I thought we were not allowed gum? I thought after surgery there was no gum because it lets you suck in more air Same is not using a straw or is that maybe only. While you're recovering ?

Dang! And I thought we were getting dirty in here! :P

Gum? Bummer! Move along folks, there's nothing to see here lol. Seriously, since you didn't have bypass (stoma) I wouldn't worry about it too much. It'll all come out in the end(pun intended).

Yea I was told to stay away from it for awhile but once my Dr put me back on a regular foods I started chewing it again. I haven't had any trouble so far. I'm a pretty fast healer I was at the gym just a few days after my surgery. So that's why I chew it.
