I was sleeved in Tijuana everything was awesome the whole experience. So I made it home last night after a long flight and when I got home I ate some broth. I barely had much of the broth then I felt like I had to go throw up, but I didn't but close. Well now I just tried to eat some cream of wheat made with Water instead of milk. I felt the Same way, but did nothing. I know the cream of wheat was a mistake, because it was not watery enough. Maybe my body is tired from the flight, I know I'm super sore today any advise?

Thanks

I'm a little over a week out and I am barely starting to be able to keep things down. As long as you keep hydrated and try to get as much Protein in (isopure) was my life saver.

Cream of wheat wasn't on my list until the puree stage. I would focus on Clear Liquids, maybe some sugar free Jello. Try to take a small bite and let it sit for a couple minutes..see how that does, then take another bite. I think as long as you stay hydrated that's the important part..

I am 5 weeks out and I have to say that I you need to stay hydrated, the Protein you will not be able to get this all in for a while, and take things slowly, if you are feeling like vomiting then you are taking in to much right now, remember you are still very swelled inside. dont push it, stay on clear or full liquids.< /p>

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
