I was in the hospital for 2 nights and two nights later my husband and I had sex. We were very careful and I wore the binder (sexy! lol) throughout so that my sore belly didn't jiggle (again, sexy!). It went fine! My doctor didn't put a time line on it...she just said we could have sex when we felt comfortable with it and to take it easy.

It's really up to how you feel. There is no reason you can't have it unless you do some really strange...or difficult positions. Once you are feeling up to the task....then burn those calories the best and most fun way to do so! Greatest exercise ever! Lol ;)

I would say the most important thing is to use birth control. You don't want to get pregnant for at least a year. Some do but your body will be in a better place a year later. Also I am sorry if you did not get a binder. They work great especially the first 2-3weeks. Gives you support to help you get going or find a position to sleep in have early sex in etc. if you are still out only 3 weeks talk to your doctor about getting one. Can get it from hospital or get prescription for it and you maybe able to get from local medical supply store or some drug stores depends how large you are. Again mine was great used it to week 3 helps you to use less pain med. if you are going to be sleeved ask your doctor pre op. I am say this as a patient and as a nurse that has taken are of people who have had our surgery.

The day I got home. And yesterday and today too. Lol. I was sleeved the 19th. We just aren't going rough, not much moving and jiggling.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
