sleeved 6/17 why am I not losing WTF

Recommended Posts

Well that just SUCKS! You would think being on straight liquids getting less than 400 calories a day' date=' one would lose weight![/quote']

Same happened to me. Now I'm 5 weeks out and can pretty much eat anything and I'm losing an average of 2 pounds a week.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me. I was sleeved last Tuesday 6/18 and haven't lost a thing. I can see changes in my body, however.

I will be 3 weeks out tomorrow and haven't lost anything in the past week. I have only lost 10 lbs total. I don't know what to do. I can barely get my Protein in and have a difficult time with food.

I stalled out in my second week too :( . I am 5 weeks out as of tomorrow and just started dropping weight again yesterday. For me, I must keep my carbs low, Protein and fluids high and exercise every day. Keep reading other threads and you will see that stalls in the 3 rd week are very common. It takes time to figure out how to get your nutritional needs all while healing from surgery. I had a very hard time getting protein requirements as I was not tolerating Protein shakes ver well.

Hang in there and try to stay calm. All is well.

I too put on weight while on the hospital. It came off over about a week. I hit the 3week stall too and actually gained weight on 500 calories a day. Once I started going to the bathroom halfway through that week it started coming off. I'm now down 34lbs since my pre op diet.

I was sleeved 6-17.....weight was 234.8 down to 222.4....3 days NO LOSS!! I'm hoping my soon to come cycle has something to do with it! I'm going crazy! I'm not getting enough Protein but I'm trying. H2O is not an issue. I'm getting the Water in!

Well I was sleeved 6/19 and since the pre op diet I lost 26 . The last 3 days however the scale hasn't moved. Not complaining though as I see alot of people gained some weight in the hospital. I didn't but now might be starting my stall. We just have keep moving !

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
