Eight weeks out and notice change in appetite

Recommended Posts

I have noticed a big change in appetite the last few days. Did anybody else notice a change after two months and if so how long did it last and what did you do? The thought of food makes me nauseous. Thanks for any help.

Sorry, can't help. I'm 2 1/2 months out, and my appetite recently went the other way.

I'm not starving, but I'm no longer "not hungry", and I seem to have lost some of my restriction, and don't get the slimes when I eat too fast.

Kind of bummed about that. I need my sleeve to continue keeping a check on me!

I totally feel like this too. I'm just over 2 months out. Everything I've had to eat makes me sick, no matter how little or how slow I eat. I'm hoping it will pass soon. :(

OMG, I was trying to figure out how to say this. 8 weeks out and all of the sudden the thought of food makes me gag. I'm nauseous!! I went to the ER and was dehydrated and my pancreas levels were elevated. 2 bags of Fluid and I'm still really sick!

I have great from Day 1 until now...

So before you didn't mind food and maybe felt hungry...but now it makes you nauseous? I'm 3 weeks post-op and finding I get hungry. It would be nice to at least not feel hungry lol

I am 12 days out and I don't want to eat at all. I am not getting enough Protein or fluids. I know I have to do better but I find it hard to want anything. Right know I am having 1-2 Unjury shakes a day and about 40 oz of Gatorade and Mio flavored water. I hope I can get motivated to tolerate and have more. Was anyone else like this??

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
