Calling all June 11 sleevers

I was done on June 11 and want to see if where I am and what I am doing is right. They give u all kinds of info, but I'm still not sure if what I'm doing is right. Finding it real hard to get the protein and liquids in that I need. I'm doing about 12ozs of protein shakes a day and and 30ozs of water only. Plus doing some sf pudding with dry milk added in for calories. I'm tired and taking a few naps a day...am I just lazy or is that normal, lol. Where is everyone else?

I was sleeved on the 10th. I find all the broths nasty so I found a recipe. 2 regular sized cans of chicken broth, 2 scallions cut into long pieces, 2 tbs soy sauce and a piece of ginger. Simmer for 1

  • Can I suggest a really yummy protein drink...Chike! I didn't think I would be successful because I hated all the protein drinks until I found it. It's very good and no after taste.

I was sleeved on June 11th. My Dr required 2 weeks of liquid diet, but it could include cream soups and yogurt. After the first 2 weeks I was able to progress to "soft foods". Basically anything not crunchy, no fresh fruits or veggies, no nuts, popcorn or seeds, no bread rice or Pasta. But anything else was allowed. The NUT said to concentrate on Protein first, and if still hungry then veggies. I am eating almost strictly protein right now. I do 2-6 ounce protein shakes a day, 30g protein each. I have no problem getting my protein. I think because I really like the shakes, and they are only 6 ounces, so easy to get down. I use Isopure low carb chocolate. I do ok with Water and other liquids. Not the 64 I should have, but I am close, usually around 40. I eat mostly dannon light and fit greek yogurt, 12g protein each. I usually have 2 of those daily. Then various other foods, turkey meatballs, tomato soup, chili, string cheese, deli turkey, baked fish, tuna salad, egg drop soup. Lots of crystal lite, unsweetened homemade iced decaf tea, sugar free cappuccino mix, hawiian punch sugar free mixes, sugar free fudgcicles. I miss crunchy things, and veggies. I'm not tired at all, but I think everyone is different. I had no problems with energy, even a few days after surgery I was back to normal. I think a lot of that has to do with my being able to get in my protein easily tho.

That sounds so great! Good job! How much are you down? And do you have any advice for the soon to be sleeved :)

Happy 8 week Anniversary to the June 11 sleevers! I am certainly not losing like I thought I would; it's going down though, slowly but surely! How is everyone else doing?

Me neither as far as losing as much as I thought I would be @ this point, but I blame a lot of it on myself. I'm not getting in the protein I need. It makes me gag. But some loss is better than no loss. My hair is also thinning. :(

navyma, i have been taking extra biotin for the hair loss and it slowed down a lot!

Bettyb, is it a pill? Can you swallow it? Or does itneed to be crushed? I'm willing to try it! Thx

It's a small pill, I don't crush anything anymore, take all my pills normally now.

I haven't had any hair falling out...6 1/2 weeks out. I'm going to try making sf pudding with my EAS protein drinks. I like the idea of mixing the chioc with skill. Thanks for that idea... It's alo more fluids.
