Anyone with 180 pounds doing the sleeve?

Recommended Posts

average for a female at 5' is roughly 130ish. Figure out a weight YOU feel comfortable with and make that your goal. It is achievable if you do the work.. Don't expect the sleeve to be a fix it all.. it is a HUGE tool to help, but you have to work it for it to work for you.

You're 5 feet tall, 180 pounds, 35 BMI, and lost 7 pounds on a 10 day liquid diet, right?

I predict...65-70 pounds.

That'll be 20 dollars.

Kidding. :D

Don't panic about loosing a ton of weight on the liquid diet. You will lose some, but it's mostly to shrink your liver. Once you are sleeved, you will do great as long as you stick with it and make the best food choices you can..

I am 5'1" and 185 and I am getting sleeved on July 16th. I can't seem to loose more than 15pounds and I can't keep that off more than a few months at a time. I have lower back problems, SEVERE sleep apnea and hypertension.

My sister died at 24, she was 450+lbs, her sleep apnea caused her heart to enlarge and cause a heart attack in her sleep. Her autopsy showed all of that and the final cause of death was: morbid obesity.

I don't want to die and my family have to have an autopsy done because they don't know what caused my death, I don't want to die young, and I don't want my health to deteriorate sooner than it should. I am having this surgery and I believe it's the right thing to do!!!!

Wow, I am very sensitive and I am on tears right now...:-( I can relate totally with you, most of my family is obese too, I want to change that circle, and be able to move around ...my small son is only 9th and I don't play with him because of my back pain or take him to the park because my severe incontinence does not allow me to be outdoors I need a restroom every hour. Its so sad to be stock.. Hopefully this decision will help us to have a more enjoyable life..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
