Hey, give him a try. If he doesn't work, change to anothe one. It's your $$, you should be satisfied w/ what you're paying for/

It was great to meet you tonight. I thought of something after I'd left that I thought would be a good resource for you. There's a website: http://stumptuous.com/weights.html that has some great information on weight training written by a woman for women.

Good luck!

Cathy

I know I'm late posting this message but I think that's great getting a trainer. I have one - it was quite by coincidence though that I got mine. One of my husband's friends is a personal trainer and we got to talking and so on. Anyways to make a long story short he is doing it for me free of charge. I don't think that if I had to pay for it I would have gotten one cause I don't know if I could have afforded it......but go for it if you have the resources!!!

Cathy!! Hi!! Thanks for the tip, and I'm so glad you're here! There aren't enough Jersey folks for my taste. :)

Guess what? This morning the scale smiled on me!! I'm in a good mood today. How pathetic is that? :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
