Today is 4days postoperative and I am feeling better by the minute. Still a little soreness but nothing compared to day one and two. I can see its all going to get better. I am not hungry at all. The Water and apple juice satisfy me. I am having a hard time getting in enough Protein though. Any Ideas? I'm thinking of trying they whey protein bullets...Ben doing the slimfast low carb high protein option but in two days I still haven't finished one. We got this people!

I used the same technique I used for Water to get the Protein drinks down. If you use the powder, you can mix it with a little less Water. The Slimfast is 10 ounces for 20 grams of Protein. I used powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken, which is 20 grams per scoop and mixed it with 6 oz. water. Within a few days, I was able to tolerate GNC Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder, which has 24 grams per scoop. I mixed it with Soy Milk, which brought it to a total of 33 grams of protein for one cup.

I know it sounds like a broken record but walk walk walk. It does gets better. I am home now after my surgery on 6/4/13. Walking is the only thing that seemed to work to get the gas out.

Omg i thought maybe it was just me but seems everybody's going thru it the left shoulder pain is almost unbearable!! I've walked til my legs hurt I try and get up every 2 hrs to walk and drink something! I was sleeved on weds and I'm praying for one little thing to stop hurting. I know the pain will go away but I guess it wouldn't be so bad that I want to cry sometimes - takes my breath away! Ive been eating Popsicles and having beef broth keeping everything down....but when I eat the broth it hits my stomach and feels an odd little pain....hoping that goes away soon! I feel like I need to drink more but can't- the doctor said take a sip every two to three mins....I know I got this but still....hoping tomorrow is a better day for all of us!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
