Had my one month post op revision check-up today...

Recommended Posts

I had my band for 16 1/2 months and lost about 45 pounds. Had my revsion on May 6th and at my apt. today went from 164.5 to 148.5. Don't think I have been in the 140's since I got pregnant with my now 15 year old. I feel amazing and had no complications, a very easy recovery, and I am eating with very little problems. I am so happy I decided to revise.

How wonderful for you! I hope I'll be as lucky as you with not having any problems, complications & hope I can eat with no problems, as long as I follow directions!

Me, too. I revised, too, but I had my band for a loonngg time. I lost about 60 lbs or so, while struggling with that thing for years. Getting filled, then stuck, then unfilled. One minute I couldn't eat anything and the next my stomach was a bottomless pit. What a roller coaster ride. I was reluctant to revise, but so far so good. I wish I had given myself a second chance sooner.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
