Hard Boiled Eggs-How I Love Thee

Recommended Posts

It has come to my attention that if I could eat a hard boiled egg for every meal, I would. I won't, of course, because it is not ideal. But they are sooo good and my sleeve craves them. I do have one for Breakfast every morning.

Just had one for breakfast! LOL! I usually have Egg Beaters for Breakfast but today hard-boiled sounded so good!

I boil a few every week and keep them around as handy Snacks. My husband is sleeved also (I'm 2.5 years post-op he is 2 years) and we both eat them pretty often.

I feel sorry for people who don't like eggs or who are allergic. :)

I feel sorry for them too. Funny thing is, I never really ate them before I had the surgery, but now I love them.

I love them all ways: hard-boiled, poached, scrambled, fried, deviled. They are also such a handy on the go snack!

I loved them pre surgery....unfortunately my tummy does not like real eggs post surgery :(

I can eat egg beaters no problem. I don't get it!

I had my sleeve done on Feb 19, 2013, I still cannot eat scrambled eggs they kill me. Seems like they get stuck going down and end up always coming back up and then Im miserable for a couple hours. I have been craving egg so I thought I would tried a fried egg, just did it in a tiny bit of margarine and couldn't believe how good it tasted and it went down fine and stayed down. I don't know if the cooking of the egg changes it and makes it harder for me or if it's just me. I have been afraid to try a soft or hard boiled egg til now I think I am gunna give them a try. Will wait a little longer to try a scrambled egg again. I hope it's just a "me" thing at this point I have always loved scrambled and my husband makes amazing scrambled eggs :}

If you mix the egg with Water and a little cheese and cook until just cooked, they will melt in your mouth and be very soft. I am at 6 weeks out...

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
