Do you carry your weight in one particular spot - boobs, back, waistline, thighs or bum? If so the style you buy can have a real impact on how quickly sizes drop. 52 lb should be several dress/top/pants sizes... I'm a metric girl but from rough calculations that's about right.

I have a friend who always loses weight off her waist last - skinny arms and legs loooong before she can get into a smaller sized nipped in top or dress. For me it's "thunder thighs"... My tops are a full size down from my bottoms, sometimes 2.

Perhaps it's time to experiment with some different styles and see how that changes things. Good luck.

You're not alone! I have lost 50 pounds now as well and have only went down one size :(

When I look in the mirror I don't feel like I look like i have lost 50 pounds either. I just expected to see a bigger difference than there is. I need to lose alot though. I want to lose 100 pounds more.

What kind of exercise are you doing? I definitely find that walking, ballet, and Pilates help to change the shape of my body and make the bulky areas (thighs and butt for me) leaner.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
