I agree! I am guessing TLC paid for the trip, but what about all that STUFF he just buys for the farm??

Yeah! Kind of like Jim Bob and Michelle...what's their names with the 16 kids?...except I'm guessing they used any TV money on their house. They got to take all those kids on vacay, too. More power to 'em.

I love the Roloffs. Cool family!

It made me so mad when they were doing their re-model of the house and doing the deck and the inspectors came and said the hand rails weren't to code. That is so unfair that they have to build to average size people code in their own home. I know they got around it somehow, but that made me angry.

That is really wrong. I am going to try and watch that episode today. I hope they fought it.

Is the family with the 16 kids the ones that build that huge house? If this is the same family I am thinking of, they actually have money from what I can tell. He is a real estate developer and ran for congress, so they can't be hurting too badly.

I agree that I love Amy, but Matt gets on my nerves. She is the money manager and the backbone of the operation. I grew up on a farm and currently live on a small acreage farm, too, and some of the stuff that he comes up with makes me shake my head. I am glad that she is there to keep him in line!

i loved the first year of this show too, and admire this family........but.......

this year, i've noticed the kids, especially the twin little person (forget his name) has gotten smart mouthy with his folks, seems ungrateful and i don't care much for him! Sorry folks!

i have also noticed that Amy doesn't support Matt a lot and is disrespectful to him in her words and attitude.

i still watch but am sad to see these negative changes.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The twins pretty much do and say what they want. I think it was Zach who said that basically they were allowed to do whatever they wanted and then one day Matt started trying to discipline them. I don't really blame it all on the twins though. They know better, but they clearly never had any limits. I think Matt is trying to make up for spending so much time away from the family.

Amy doesn't support Matt on a lot of things, even when it comes to the kids. I think she purposely does it b/c of some resentment she has against Matt.

Overall, I think it's a good show, but the kids are aaaaaa interesting....The daughter seems like a really sweet kid though and so does the youngest son. They think they are a good normal family though in a lot of ways.

I guess it's hard going thru the teen years on a reality show though. I probably wouldn't be completely happy looking back @ my 15/16 behavior on tv either. Although, I would have never treated my parents like that though.

I too have watched this show since it started. They discussed this whole discipline thing in the first season. I personally think they are a great family and I think that mouthy teenager part is no different than any other teenager on the planet. They also would get on line for chats after the show (this was during the first season, I am not sure if they still do it or not). Matts father totally cracks me up. It is a great show and worth tuning into.

Yes, the Duggars (I remembered their name) and they are debt free. Have been for years. Amazing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
