YOU have to do what is RIGHT FOR YOU, IF you want to wait until AFTER the surgery when you are feeling great and losing weight, THEN WAIT!!! Do not tell anyone..... there will always be naysayers.......

Today I found out one of our male friends, almost 420 is having the surgery on June4... I am so excited for him, and he KNOWS he can come to me with ?????? after the surgery!.. So if you do NOT WANT tell until after you can show others the outcome,.. keep your piehole shut until you are ready for the ?????? my "family" Bro and Sis, still do not know after almost 2 years, when I go home I will tell them what I did, that way I can explain..........Hey I am healthy I am fine, I am not a diabetic unlike most of you............. maybe I can inspire some of them! I am telling everyone I work with lol. I'm not good at keeping secrets and I would feel like I'm lying if people asked me how I lost my weight. I'm getting sleeved June 18th.

I am preop. I have told a few people. When I told my (grown) children' date=' my daughter said good for you, my son said you don't need it, my other son said you're going to wake up in a tub of ice with organs missing (I'm going to Mexico). He is the only one trying to talk me out of it. Everyone else I've told is happy for me. Some of my friends wish they could do it and they're going to see how it works for me.[/quote']

Ha ha about the organs missing. I'm going to Mexico also and people are joking about the same thing.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
