That was all I ate in hospital was ice chips and not a lot of those.

We get bags of the Ice from Sonic which is a soft nugget type ice and I chew on them all the time.. I've always been an ice chewer so it works perfect for me.

You can buy ice from sonic?! I've been an ice chewer forever and I've always said how I love their ice! I would usually have to take my ice cubes in a zip lock bag and smash it lol.

Ice has been my friend since day one of surgery. Shaved ice with liquid Crystal Light is yummy.

I did Sonic ice for the the first week! Love Sonic ice!

Yes, you can buy ice from them. Best stuff ever!

Ice chips and popsicles were my life savors, since I couldn't tolerating drinking anything! I got a liquid protein from Walmart that contains 42g protein. It is thick so I divide it into 3 and mix 1/3 with water and freeze. This way you get your protein in as well as your liquid! Good luck….it does get better :)

I haven't been sleeved yet ( waiting for insurance approval) , but my surgeon recommends Isopure that is a clear Protein drink for the first week. I've been trying different types just to prepare myself. Isopure has got 40 grams of protein per bottle. They sell them online, GNC, I bought mine at the The Vitamin Shoppe. They ruun about 3.75 a bottle but tastes sooooo much better than the powder Protein drinks. I was told to freeze it into icecube trays and then add to Water. This way you get your protein and water in. It kinda taste like GATORADE but kinda leaves a chalky after taste. (Only if you drink it straight from the glass bottle). My favorite is Grape Frost. Try it and see what you think. Good luck and best wishes!

Yes' date=' the crushed ice from Sonics has saved me along with freeze pops. I go through a bag in 2.5 days almost.[/quote']

So do I just ask them for ice? Lol they just opened one up here on Long Island about a year ago but I've never been there. I've only been to ones out of state.

Just tell them you want a bag of crushed ice. Here in St. Louis it is $1.70
