I had the sleeve done 3 months ago.. I was revision from the lap band that I had removed 5 years ago. I had major problems with it. My question is, I've lost 38 lbs since surgery and I feel like that is so slow compared to what I hear from everyone else. Ya I know not to compare myself, but honestly I worry that I'm doing something wrong. I'm scared because of having the band failure. Has anyone else had slow weight loss? I'm so worried!!

Don't compare but if you want to:

At 3 months I was 47 Lbs and 30.5 inches lost.

Don't compare bc everyone is different, I'm 8 weeks out and 38.8lbs down however lots of people have more or less. Depending on starting weight, height, how your body reacts to weight loss.

38 pounds in 3 months. That's over 12 pounds per month!!!!!

When you look at it like that, it ain't slow honey. It's fantastic! :) :)

I know you've heard it before but you didn't gain it in 3 months, it's not gonna come off in 3 months.

Patience. Patience. Patience.

Because I had lower BMI to begin with, I don't expect to lose at the same rate as others with more to lose than me. Instead, I see the clothes size dropping, as well as pounds. I'm about 5 and a half months out and down about 60 pounds. The number on the scale does not mean as much as the image looking back at me in the mirror. I'm 20 pounds away from goal! Don't worry, stick with your plan and you will be successful and so proud of your new body in no time!

Thanks everyone!! I am happy I just get worried that I'm stopping because of course I've slowed way down this last month ???? I can't get that stupid lap band out of my head!

I'm also on a slow week so it must be normal. Never compare as every has different starting weights and all different sizes ages etc. the main thing is we are all working at it and have a common end goal. To be thinner !!!! Well done you and good luck for the future x

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
