I refused to do it so I never did. Know of too many people that were told they had sleep apnea and they get a machine and try to use it and it sits in their closet.

I've had 2 different ones. If anything, they're good for a photo op with all the goofy sensors hooked up to you :)

SERIOUSLY!!!! The sleep study did not go good for me. I could not get comfortable nor could I sleep on my stomach. I'll be curious as to what they say about it. It was not a normal sleep for me.

I did my sleep study last night too!!!

I was the exact same way...couldn't get to sleep and couldn't sleep on my stomach. I tried to get comfy on my side but it just wasn't working for me. (I have never been a back sleeper) I came home so exhausted and slept all morning! I'm sure it was not an accurate test!

I tried to sleep -- strange room, too soft bed, wrong side of bed, all hooked up. They woke me up at midnight to rehook a wire, had to pee at 4 am, woke me up at 5:20 to ask if I wanted to go home or go back to sleep. LOL. They wanted me to come back for a second test. I said no thanks.

I did my sleep study on April 16th, and found out I had moderate to severe apnea. That explains part of why I am so tired and sleepy all the time. I went back on April 29 for a titration sleep study, where they fitted me with a cpap machine. I slept incredibly well that time, unlike the first time when I was awake most of the night. Yesterday I got my own cpap machine and slept with it for the first time last night. I felt pretty well today, and that is so encouraging. I'm really hoping to get a lot of my energy and joy of life back with this contraption.

Anyway...since I've been diagnosed, I can use this as a co-morbidity for my insurance requirement. My BMI is right on the edge, and I haven't been approved by my insurance yet,

I had severe sleep apnea which they found during my sleep study. I needed a bipap machine and I did use it. I had it for after surgery which helped in recovery. That was 1/15 (my surgery) and since then I've lost 80lbs and was able to get off of it! Total NSV for me!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
