Calling All April Sleevers

Recommended Posts

Ok it is now May!! How is everyone feeling? How much have you lost so far? Any regrets? I was sleeved on the 8th

I am doing good. My surgery went well. I don't remember much about that day. I guess before surgery I was dancing and singing. I really wasn't nervous. I was more calm than I thought I would be. After I was sleepy and mean lol. I didn't have any pain really. No gas pains, or stomach pain. Day 2 was my hardest day for some pain but I stayed up on my meds and slept a lot. I do have an incision that is bleeding today. I fell on my stomach Sunday and I noticed it looked odd after that. Then today I woke up with a bloody incision. It's not painful. I of course called my doctor.

I have lost 23lbs so far. I am pleased with this. I am dehydrated. Which makes me weak and I'm now getting dizzy when going from sitting to standing. Which sucks. I'm trying to get my Water in.

I have no regrets. I am happy with my choice.

Ok now tell me how you're doing.

I had my surgery on 4/12 and I'm doing great. The occasional pain every now and then if I stretch wrong. Doc told me I could go on solid but am waiting another week or so because of selling still making it a lil hard to swallow solid food. Other than that im great. Walking 8 miles a day with a HR monitor and a 20 pound vest. Haven't weighed myself yet, not going to for a lil, I do not want to become dependent on the scales.

Glad to hear that your doing well, keep up the great work

I was sleeved on April 9th and am doing well. I has hardly any pain and other then being extra tired I felt relatively normal. Pre- op included I have lost 26 pounds. However I have not lost ANYTHING in 10 days, I know this is usually to be expected but I wouldn't have minded seeing the scale move a pound or too ;)

I have been walking since the first day home, at first around the block once and now around the block 3-4 times a night. I have also started doing the bike at the gym as well as very very light weight circuit training.

I feel all messed up with food, Protein and water......I am getting 60 grams of protein, about 64 oz of Water but I was told not to track calories yet. Looking forward to seein my NUT tomorrow, hopefully I will get some more guidance!

Sleeved 4/10 and I've been struggling. Tried to move to mushy/puréed but I guess I wasn't ready. I'm back on Clear Liquids for 3-5 days. I feel weak and tired. On the positive side, I've lost 31 pounds but this has been the hardest way that I have ever lost weight. Looking forward to improving and being able to eat. :)

I was sleeved on the 19th so 11 days post op. I've lost 25 pounds so far, including pre-op diet. Feeling great in general although I have had some dizziness and pain around the incision closest to my belly button. Other than that, I'm ready for some flavorful food and ready to lift my 15 month old son up again. It has been a little difficult getting in more than 400 calories on most days. By the time I finish my Protein Shake, it's the end of the day!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
