Ok....congratz and that's good glad its coming bk im going to be a lil bit discouraged if u start losing my hair....

I am 3 days away from 6 mos and started losing my hair around the 4 1/2 mo mark. I believe it is inevitable, there are people here that did everything by the book and still lost hair. I prepared myself because I had a hard time getting protein in. Thankfully, it is only temporary! :)

My hair is thinning at the top 7.5 weeks out. Today I'm in a 12/14 top 16/18 pant great! I was a 3x but my arms are still big.

Not everyone but I wear a wig anyhow.

Does it have anything to do with how fast you lose? I'm a slow loser, 1 month post op & only lost 13 pounds, so I'm hoping it won't be as bad for me....I have really thin hair already :(

I thought that losing slow would lessen it...

I just hit 60 pounds in almost 6 months ...

But you know what! It's not that bad, it's a small price to pay and it's not so bad. I'm not hiding in the house or anything! Please don't let this minor thing stress you out :)

I did every single thing I read in here, everything the doctor said to do and I still lost 1/3 of my hair. I used to sob in the bathtub holding it in my hands. It started about 3 months and went in strong for about 4 months. It was hard cause no matter how fat i got my hair was my pride. Now at 1 1/2 years out it is all growing back its about 4-5 inches long and all silver. How's that for irony? It seems every new hair came back grey.???? But it is very healthy and strong cause if the vitamins. Not gonna lie it was a hard depressing time losing my hair and DDs at the same time.

Well ima just pray for the best.....but ur right it is a small price i won't get discouraged right now but.......i will probably die a couple times if and when i lose it :(

Regarding losing hair....someone told me to use Rogain. The person told me that it won't grow new hair but will slow down or possibly stop the loss of the hair you already have. Has anyone tried it? Thanks.

The nutritionist told me it does have to do w/ how fast you lose. She said that the post-surg portions are so small that the body uses the Protein for the vital organs and that making new hair / fingernails gets left behind (so to speak). She did say that the loss eventually does stop though. She also said to be super strict about getting your protein, although I know some people have and they still get the hair loss.

I'm 4 months post op and started losing hair 2 weeks ago. I always get all my protein in and take 5,000mg Biotin daily and it didn't help!! :(
