1 year out on yesterday (10/25) weighing 164!!! Yay me!!! For a total loss of 123! Couldn't be happier!!

I was 6 months yesterday!!! Hair loss hit me pretty bad... thank God I had thick hair before nobody really noticed it but me and my hair dresser... But it is starting to thicken back up.

2 months out and I never have the urge for a bowel movement.... I have a BM every 2-3 days by forces because my stomach feels sour. Before surgery I was daily and now I miss that. Ugh!!

2 months out today Meet Xmas goal 243 today Down 42 lbs so far Yay me!!!

SO..... I CALLED MY SURGEONS OFFICE ON YESTERDAY AND THE INS. LADY SAID SHE COULDN'T GET AN AUTHZATION CODE BECAUSE MY PRIMARY INS. DO NOT COVER WLS, BUT MY SECONDARY INS. DOSE AND SHE WAS WILLING TO GO ON AN SET UP A DATE FOR MY SURGERY BUT SHE WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO HER OFFICE MANAGER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS OK SINCE I HAVE TYPE II DM, sleep APNEA + THE 43 BMI. I SHOULD BE APPROVED! SO SHE CALLED ME BACK TODAY TO SET UP AN APPT. FOR ME TO COME IN AND HAVE MY PRE-OP LABS DONE FOR NEXT FRIDAY. WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HER I CALLED MY OFFICE MANAGER TO LET HER KNOW THAT I WAS GOING TO BE HAVING SURGERY ON NOV. 6 AND I WOULD NEED (WANT) 3 WEEKS OFF. AND SHE IS ACTING LIKE I AM ASKING HER FOR PERMISSION TO HAVE THIS SURGERY DONE AND WAS LIKE SINCE THIS IS AN ELECTIVE SURGERY I FEEL LIKE YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL THE 1ST OF THE YEAR TO HAVE IT DONE, SO IT WON'T RUN INTO THANKSGIVING OR X-MAS?!?!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? I MEAN REALLY? I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO GIVE ME THE TIME..... I HAVE 170 HOURS OF SICK / VAC TIME THAT I CAN USE. SO THEN SHE SAYS SHE WILL HAVE TO TALK TO THE GIRL THAT IS OVER MY DEPARTMENT (SHE SAID OK) SO NOW SHE IS SAYING SHE IS GOING TO HAVE TO TALK TO HER BOSS (WHICH SHE IS NOT>>>>>> SHE IS JUST SAYING THIS SO I WILL BE LIKE THAT'S OK I WILL JUST WAIT) NO!!!! I AM NOT WAITING...... I HAVE THE TIME AND WE ARE FULLY STAFFED AT THIS TIME SOOOOOOO I DON'T SEE WHY I NEED TO OR SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT. SORRY! I JUST NEEDED TO VENT!!!!! UGH

This almost sent me into panic.... I am waiting for them (BCBSAL) 2 respond. Just submitted info Friday.

I had my last visit on Friday. Faxed all my info to the surgeons office and the ins. Lady says she was submitting it on Friday!?!? So I am just waiting......THIS IS THE HARD PART! How long should I wait before calling BCBS?

I am double covered 2 bcbsal. My primary ins. Has a bariatric exclusion on it, but my secondary will cover wls. I tried to have the lap band in "09" and the ins. Lady there said I would have to drop my primary ins. In order for them to have my wls approved. I did that and ended up getting denied anyway ( thank God). My husband changed jobs so I was able to pick my ins. Back up and now getting ready to submit info to bcbs friday and not wanting anything to prolong my time I asked the ins lady at this office about it and she said I wouldn't have to drop my primary ins. They would submit to the primary and let them deny it and then file to the secondary ins. And they SHOULD pick it up.....Idk and I don't like not knowing. Anybody have clue on this???? I did have 1 doctors visit denied because of a wl code was used as the first Dx?!?!?!

Apply for Medicaid..... They cover wls?!?!? just a thought

My mistake that was on the show The DRS... But it is the same surgery with 1 incision!

He talked about the sleeve (spider surgery) on his show earlier this year. And he was all for it!
