I dont understand...

Recommended Posts

I don't understand how I went from being able to eat everything I was allowed to eat easily, to not being able to tolerate hardly anything at all.

I'm 6 weeks out. I was doing GREAT. Down 35.

I get an EGD on may 2.

Anyone experience this? What happened??

Maybe you ate some things(spices) that have irritated your sleeve and it has become inflamed? This is what happened to me about a week ago I had to be put on omaprezole.

I've had a similar thing happen, but I've narrowed it down to that my stomach isn't liking any form a meat right now. So since i've avoided meat, i can eat more. I hope it's only temporary, but only time will tell.

I can't eat 98% of food. Like you said, 3 weeks ago some things were ok, now if I eat them they totally make me nauseaus or I don't like the taste. I have NO idea what's going on....pretty irritated. If I do find a food i like ok, within 90 minutes I'll have the runs (sorry-tmi) so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to maintain any semblance of nutrition :(

I still eat spicy foods....I think it depends on the person!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
