Never Ever Again

So I know I was told no Pasta. But I read some people can handle it and I tried about 1/2 cup the other night and I was sick for 2 hours. It was worst then giving birth. It was s small portion of the chinese noodle packages from costco. I felt like I needed to have my stomach pumped. I can handle potstickers. I thought I would share the warning.

3 months. I was so tired that evening and hadn't planned anything. So I made this for my family and had a small portion. I know now I should have more leftovers prepared or made an egg.

I wasn't placed on any restrictions once through the stages however was advised to always follow Protein first rule. I am nearly 6 months out and I can tolerate a little bit of Pasta like an ounce or so but rice is the hard thing for me I will have a "taste" bite but have to quit after that or I will be sick I generally try to avoid both of these things though:)

I must have a sleeve of steel too. Pasta doesn't bother me at all. The only things that have caused trouble are very rich sweets or restaurant food that seems to be infused with lard or some other offending ingredient. Its always amazing to me how different everyone's experiences are with the sleeve.

Rice is my nemesis. Went to a Japanese steak house with friends a couple of weeks ago. Fell into bad habits of mindlessly eating while talking and ate more rice than I would have if I was paying attention like I should have been. OMG...I was SO SICK! I didn't puke, but boy, just the right bump in the road on the way home and it would have been all over. Rice is the only food I have reacted this way to, so...I guess it's no more rice for me. No big deal though...I can still eat the meat and veggies, so I can still get an Asian fix if I want one. :)

Rice and Pasta are still no no's for me at 20 months out. Every time I try to eat either one, my tummy rebels and hurts for hours. If I try to drink Water anytime soon (within 2 hours), then they swell up in the tummy and hurt more. I'll pass on both. :)

Wow that is strange how different we all are. I don't have any problems other than sugar free pudding. Runs right thru me in minutes.

Hm. I had spaghetti made w whole wheat Pasta a few days ago and did fine. I'm 7 weeks.

I just chewed really really well.

Now dehydrated unsweetened banana chips. Forget about it. Puked for an hour. No joke.

It was probably my fault actually. I ate them really fast and I think it was too much for Sleevie. Also, since I ate fast I didn't chew well. . (And now I'll hide behind my computer because I'm embarrassed lol ) I bet it wasn't the food itself. I should have phrased my post differently. But I *am* scared to try them again just yet.

Sooo good tho.

I forgot to add bread to my "can't do" list

I occasionally do 1/2 of an Alternative English Muffin with little to no discomfort but straight up bread or Buns even 1/2 make me very uncomfortable.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
