What's on your play list?

Recommended Posts

Here's what a dork I am. Using iTunes I tracked the beats per minute of the music I like. I bike mostly and I like an RPM in the 85-95 range. So I have a playlist called biking with all the music sorted by bpm. AC/DC might be followed by Lester and Earl by Molly Hatchet. It helps me keep a solid consistent cadence which help me pace myself on long rides.

That is a great idea! That is how my couch to 5k list was made the tracks picked by bpm and music is from all genres,

Omg - How could I forget!! " When they come for me" Linken Park starts every workout!!! In fact it's programmed into my alarm clock as well... It's kind of my theme song! :D

Um, I don't think that's dorky at all - seems pretty smart to me. I do the same thing (that's why it's smart ;) ) and I start with slower things, I timed them based on what I know I want my workout to be, then I make sure It's long enough. Otherwise, without the music I find myself clock watching, and three minutes feels like an eternity. With the music, three minutes is time for a new song!

It really does. If you're anything like me you may be prone to singing out loud!!

Yes I sing out loud, too, and my family will tell you it's not pretty, lol!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
