So im having a rough day. I was hoping yall could give me some advise. This is a copy of the email i sent to my NUT today.

Hi! Just wanted to touch base and ask a few questions. I'm not feeling very good and I know it's my fault so I wanted to know any tricks you can share. I know I'm not getting my carbs/protein in for the day. It's not for lack of trying. But I have a very weird relationship with food...I basically hate it. Nothing taste good and I'm rarely hungry. I'm thirsty ALL the time so I sip on a Protein Drink or flavored water through the day. When I eat I try and eat slow and only put 1/2 a cup or less in my baby plate with my baby spoon but I feel no matter what or how much I eat I feel sick and only take a few bites. I haven't cheated on anything. No caffeine no soda no dessert. Per my scale today I am 243.1 from 262. My surgery date was march 18th. I went back to work yesterday light duty which was fine but felt crappy all night and today. Anything you could recommend would be great. Thank you Kacy

Fire away fellow march sleeved friends and thank you ahead of time.

I just started soft foods this week. I had surgery on the 12th of march. Do you think you started soft foods to quickly? For me if I don't get enough Protein in I get very tired and cranky. So I understand never feeling hungry but you have to otherwise you will feel down and crappy. Protein in first.

Maybe, I'm on puréed foods but I often just have the Protein Soup broth. But last night I swallowed a bite of protein chicken noodle and immediately threw it back up. :sigh: I feel so weak. My muscles hurt and I get short of breath doing simple tasks (like I gave my 4yr old a shower and after I washed him I had to sit down bc I was out of breath and dizzy. This is a new symptom.) I knew it was going to be hard but I didn't realize how hard and food is gross and hurts my stomach. Thanks for responding. I'm looking forward to soft foods I'm hoping ill have more options that my stomach will like. And I want caffeine and maybe some plain mashed potatoes. Lol

Maybe if you took a sublingual Vitamin B12 complex it might give u some energy? I'm on pureed & poured soup w canned chicken added pureed over 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes on Easter to "liquify" it so maybe that is acceptable? I felt the same way about food & only cottage cheese is what I like now. Ugh. Hang in there & great loss!

Update: I got worse and md sent me to the ER. I was there 3 nights and 4 days. I got pain and nausea meds and LOTS of Fluid. I got to go home Sunday :). However, it's been tough. Everything tastes gross no matter how/what it is or how it's prepared. I have already lost the weight they have me in fluid. Thank you everyone...XOXOXOXO :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
