Mini~ You are in my thoughts and prayers! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you!

Dee~ You are also on my mind and I will be praying that when your daughter leaves that you will have the comfort you need.

I did not get a chance to weigh in today as we just returned from a trip to southern California with my family. My Dad really wanted to go to Disneyland with all of us. We have a lot of happy memories there. Anyway, I am hoping that 3 days of walking and pushing wheelchairs has helped me lose a little and I will check in tomorrow.

I don't believe it. I didn't lose anything. With all that walking I was hoping I would lose something. I definitely need a fill. Just need to figure out how I am going to afford it.

I'm here Sweetie!

thanks for asking.

I've been dealing with a lot of depression lately. Night shift is kicking my butt and I'm getting ready to take my daughter to college. I'll have an empty nest and it's something I am so sad about. I'm so happy for her! But after being married for 22 years, I never imagined I'd be alone when our daughter left for school.

Glad to hear from you again. Time flies so quickly, I didn't realize it was time for your daughter to go to college. Are you flying back with her or are you driving her back with all her "essentials"?

I start back up with Water aerobics tomorrow after being gone for 2 weeks. Gotta get the momentum going again:ohmy:

Hi Dee,

I feel your pain. I just have the one daughter too, and being divorced, I thought it was going to kill me when she went to college and I was left home alone. But, it really is ok. First, would you rather have her living in your basement for the next 5 years, working at Mc Donalds with no career goals? Of course not. Second, you are still the momma, and she still needs you. You'll be surprised how often she calls, texts, emails, etc. You'll be in touch almost every day. Trust me, it gets better. You'll see it is not so bad when it does happen, and I know you are so proud of her.

Hope you see you soon at RR!

I think that's wonderful! You all went to Disneyland together! You're making more sweet memories. Your Father sounds like such a sweet man.

We're going to fly. We were going to drive, but rental cars cost almost a thousand dollars! I hate flying! This is my first time flying since I lost all of the weight! I hope I don't need a seat belt extender!

We have to plan a get together on the 1st of April. Mini will be here for that night. We can do Red Robin. It seems there are more things we can eat there. Salads, Soup, chicken breasts etc etc. Thanks for the encouragement. My poor daughter had a kidney stone the other day. We got to the ER for pain control around 230pm and it was packed. I have never seen so many elderly people in my life. Every bed was full. They noticed she was in such agony, so they put her in the hall with an IV and some pain meds. I actually think it helped to be in the hall, we weren't hidden away some place ignored.

I am pretty excited this morning because I finally broke into the 250's!! YAY!! I am still going to set up a fill, hopefully for the 7th of April. We shall see.

Congrats!!! I think that is wonderful!

Hi guys,

Put me down for -2 this week. It has really slowed compared to what I had been doing. Too much snacking:cursing:

Dee, I know what you are going through. When my daughter left for college, I would have never thought that I would be on my own. Luckily, I have two kids still at home to keep my mind occupied. She comes home often to visit which makes it nice BUT she has a boyfriend now who comes up to visit. He lives about 4 hours away and he travels here to see her. They met through a mutual friend. Scares me a little that she might ditch school and family and go stay with him, but she keeps telling me no. I hope that she stays focused.

Keep your chin up!:tt1: It does get easier with time. I will be thinking about you. I wish I lived close by because I think we could be good friends.

Congratulations on everyone's losses.

I think that would be great! We could become very close friends and support one another with our Bands and our family issues!

Sounds like a plan! Either Red Robin or Panera would be great with me.

I postponed my fill from March 27th to April 10th. I still feel a little restriction, even though I'm getting hungry sooner and sooner after meals. But flights/hotels/cars are just so expensive right now, it's tough to dig into the pocketbook and pay to get out there. But, I'll be in town Thursday night April 9th (but probably not until late) and then Friday morning I'll have my fill around 10am. Not sure what time I'll be flying out, but it'll be sometime Friday afternoon.

So I understand that you can order Red Robin hamburgers without the bun, but what do you eat at Panera? Soup? Just curious.

Red Robin is easy because they have the Ensenda chicken Platter. Two very thin chicken breasts that are extremely tender and a salad. Almost carb free. One breast is plenty with a couple of bites of salad and then you have leftovers for another meal or two. Also there are Soups, veggie burgers (garden or boca) large cobb salads and other things that are band friendly.

Panera doesn't work well for me anymore. The soups are very high calorie and everything else has bread. Their salads are also high calorie. I used to love Panera.

It's a good thing you didn't come out! We're in the middle of a spring bizzard. We're expecting 3 feet of snow! So it's a good thing you're home, warm and dry!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
