I was sleeved on March 25th. My first 4 days were rough like that. It does get better! I hardly have any pain and I have been meeting my goals.

You did get hit by a bus! They didn't tell you that happened while you were out?? lol, well it gets much better after about 5-6 days you begin to feel a little normal. I am 3 weeks out and some days are better than others with the gas and the incision pain, the one where the stomach comes out still gets me sometimes!! Pain meds, gas x, and prevacid are your friends right now, use them! Good luck!

It gets better! I am 11 days out and feel good. No real soreness at all. Went shopping for several hours this morning. You're doing great :)

I was sleeved on March 19. I felt better when I first came home than now. Nausea and vomitting the last 4 days. No appetite. Doctor put me on chewable prevacid.

They can give you something for the nausea. Take the meds offered to you, they are worth it. Each day gets better and better, have faith. As for the driving, you can drive when you are no longer on narcotic pain meds and are able to look over your shoulder (to check your blind spot) without pain. I took about a week or week and a half. Others go back to driving sooner. All depends on your meds and how you feel.

Hang in there! You will feel great soon!

I was sleeved on the 20th and was able to stop pain meds on the 27th and I drove for the first time today. I honestly didn't notice a real decrease in pain/discomfort until yesterday which was 9 days out. I did shop today for a few hours with my family. I also had an allergic reaction to the skin glue that was used during surgery which made my discomfort higher (intense burning/itching). Hang in there! You'll start to feel better soon!

I got sleeved on the 28th as well and I am defiantly struggling to get my liquids and Protein in. Had 2 nights of vomiting and dry heaving and I don't want to relive that..

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
