Ladies! Did your cycle change?

Recommended Posts

It's been over 2 months since I've had a cycle! I'm starting to get scared. It's just a reflection of how screwed up my hormones are. I wonder if it's related to my stall... *Sigh*

I am 4 weeks post op tomorrow!! My period is due on Sunday?? I feel no signs of it coming other than bloating... Wondering if the sleeve affected your cycles!!! I really hope I am not late or too late!! I have a birthday trip to Vegas middle of April!!!

I haven't had a period for over a year. I'm 32 so menopause hopefully isn't the reason. I have read where a lot of gals start their periods right after surgery literally or a few days later. I still haven't which is fine with me. I do want to start again crazy I know but not during recovery. I would like for my incisions to be healed.

Ok, I can top y'all :P

I'm 55 and have been looking forward to menopause for almost thirty years. Over the last year I actually stopped my TOM and thought I was to enter into the never-have-another-period-again stage in life. BUT OOOOOH NOOOOO.. That wasn't to be for me! I'm three months post-op and guess whose had three periods. Go figure!

:D

Mine too

Mine are like clockwork. The only difference is they are heavier and last longer. I do drop a good 5 pounds during that time.

My periods are like clockwork but I started my period 4 days early which was post-op day #6. My nml periods are only 3 days but this one was 7 days & I'm sure it's from stress. I had to learn quickly to cut Tylenol 500 mg tablet into chunks for pain relief. Was hoping to give my liver some recovery time from the anesthesia but it couldn't be helped. Just made sure I stayed under the 3 grams of Tylenol in 24 hr period rule.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
