It's been a while since I've been on here. So I decided to get on today. However, I have a question has anyone that had the Gastric Sleeve procedure followed up with a Tummy Tuck? The reason that I asked is because the weight lost will cause the skin to get loose especially in the stomach area. Need to hear from my fellow sleeve friends.

There is a board on here for cosmetic surgery...

I have been reading on it for the past few weeks! I am looking into it with my Dr. and insurance because there is no amount of shrinkage that will fix my tube sock boobs and hanging basket tummy!

Check it out there are great pics and topics on it.

Hiya,

I am over two and a half years post sleeve and nine days post TT with uplift.

I have to say that I have found it easier to recover this time around and am so far doing well.

There is a forum for cosmetic stuff, plenty of interesting posts there. If you have any specific questions please ask and I will do my best to answer.

So far, even with a lot of swelling, I can see a real difference! The sagging skin was awful and really took my confidence away, almost like being morbidly obese again.

I know everyone is different, but for me, the op was worth it to get rid of the excess.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
