Getting Sleeved March 28th. Anyone else?

Recommended Posts

Having my sleeve done on the 28th and being scoped on the 18th. I think I'm more nervous about the scope than the surgery itself. Anyone else in the same boat?

My surgery is the 28th as well. No scoping for me though! Why are you having it done?

The endoscopy?

Yes, the endoscopy. Does it depend on aspects of your health history?

I needed an endoscopy as part of my pre-op testing. They found 2 polyps on my stomach that they gave medicine for no biggie. They put me under, I remember nothing but waking up and telling the nurse she had a great haircut lol. My throat was a little sore the rest of the day but that's all. I'm a total baby. I

Ok, so it's routine in some practices. I haven't heard a word about it from either my PCP or my surgeon. Interesting......

I will be having surgery on March 29th. Happy to finally have insurance authorization. I'm excited, but I also anticipate some nervousness as the date approaches.

Good luck to you both!

My surgery is scheduled or March 18. It was originally scheduled or the 11th but had a little hiccup with my secondary insurance. So they had to push it back a week I am so excited just a few more days to go!!! I started this process January 2012 so it has been a long year.

I did pre-admit at the hospital on Tuesday! They ran all sorts of test which I assume where fine as I haven't heard anything back from the doctor!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
