Just wondering...is it normal to feel everything you drink, travel allllllll the way thru your pouch? And will that last forever??? It's so weird! I'm so excited to start this journey, and wonder why I didn't do it years ago!! I can't beat myself up about it now, I just have to make each week count! I'm happy to have such a great support system here too! Everyone is so encouraging!

I am doing good, just starting to feel hungry. I'm trying to space out my shakes to four times a day, and I HAVE to keep after myself to drink drink drink!! Otherwise I feel lightheaded and have no ambition to do anything!!

The shakes alone weren't doing it for me anymore, so I decided to put in 100 calorie fat free yogurt.....is that bad??? I freeze them, and eat them like a frozen yogurt....I've been on the shakes for well over a month, they were hard to get down!!!

Need to go and get sugar free ice pops and sf Italian ices. Anyone know how long I have to wait for coffee? ? I forgot to ask the dr. And nutritionist...

Protect your new 'tool' follow their instructions and prevent a leak!! I was on Clear Liquids for a week after surgery and then full liquids after that. Now I am on puréed. Let your sleeve have time to heal at the staple lines. You will do fine! Good luck to you!! ;-)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
