Glad you asked this. I worry constantly about never being able to eat more than just two bites for the rest of my life. Moderation is fine, but just a couple of bites forever seems extreme to me - -not that I want to go carb crazy, but want to be reassured that I'll be able to indulge every now and then. I'm still on liquids too, but I have a follow up on the 13th and should be introducing purées after that.

I know, thats why I ask the vets! I know I may be swollen, so I wouldnt even attempt food yet, but I just want to know capacity. I hear 1/4 or 1/2 cup but I wanted to give an example of something not measured in a cup...

I'm about 8 months out and I'm pretty sure I could eat a taco at this point. Honestly there are days that I can eat so much more in one sitting than I could early on that it freaks me out. I kind of miss the days of only a couple of bites because it was impossible to overindulge at that point. It's very easy to do it now. Enjoy your restriction now and use this time to really get a handle on any head hunger issues you might have because if you have them, I promise you they will rear their ugly heads again.

I will say it does feel good to be satisfied with one. I swear I could inhale them non stop with a decent supply of Dos Equis.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
