Hi Everyone,

Having weight loss surgery is worth doing. Show me a job without any pressure, and I will show you a job that’s not a good job. It takes a lot of courage to have weight loss surgery. And it requires a lot of effort and work on your part. It can feel like there are all kinds of pressure on you when you start the journey. But, remember that no pressure at all will probably result in no productivity or the weight loss that you are looking for. Maybe the pressure you have is simply helping you get the job of weight loss done better. None of us gained this fat overnight, yet we want it all gone overnight. One of the leading questions I am always asked is how long did it take you to lose 105 pounds? Stop comparing yourself to anyone else. We are all individuals and we lose fat at different rates. We are not all alike. Some eat different than others; some do a lot more exercise than others. You will find out what works best for you and that is what you should do. This really is all about YOU and NO one else.

PLEASE don’t allow other to make you feel that Weight Loss Surgery is the “easy” way out or guilt you into thinking you can do this yourself without having Weight Loss Surgery. This is your choice and they are NOT living inside your body nor do they know how you feel. Weight Loss Surgery was my answer after many, many failed attempts of trying so many different kinds of diets. I am NO longer on a diet. I have made lifestyle changes that I will live by forever. I never feel deprived. I do have a treat now and then, just not every day and when I have it, it is a small amount. I want you to know that you too can and will be very successful at Weight Loss Surgery. I am always here if you have any questions. I know how it feels to be where you are right now. GO for it, you will never be sorry!

Hugs,

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
