Lots of good suggestions...Thanks! What is everone's opinion on drinking sf drinks and iced tea in place of Water?

Can you flush a toilet without Water?

You have to have water to flush your system out.

Once you get in 80% of water have tea... just get in most of your water first. Nothing can really replace water for health benefits.

What? That sounds like a boring eating life. Eat a better variety. Give your body some nutrients and stay active. Clean as littlr more, take the stairs, get it yourself. I eat whatever I want... but always keep health in mind. Its worked for me at 11 months out.

I can relate to this thread in more than one way. I'm a year put and have fallen into bad eating habbits as i got over confident with my sleeve. I thankfully have not put on any weight yet but i need to get back on track so lets do this together and help each other through this so we can get back on track and feel the benefits of the choice we made. Even just 30 mins of excercise 5 times a week will do wonders. Also i love to snack at night of nutient defficient food but lets try and keep goji berries and a seed or nut mix beside pir beds so we can choose those over junk.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
