February 19, 201313 yr I feel like a total newb for asking this -- but why are you guys all getting gas-X strips? Does the surgery cause gas pain? Or is it the diet? Pardon my crudeness but...is there no way to just fart it out through the day like most folks?
February 19, 201313 yr I'm told gas (air) in system to help during the surgery. Most have told me that it's not easily passed the normal way... thus the gas-x strips.

I use them a couple times a day. But also, in regards to eliminating gas the normal way... There is a phrase here... "Never trust a fart."

February 20, 201313 yr You made me giggle. Lets just say that at 18 days post-op, of my tummy gurgles I just head to the loo. Better safe than sorry!
November 14, 201411 yr Bree, you are hilarious. I enjoyed that laugh. I'm a few days out and it doesn't hurt to laugh anymore. That was great!
November 14, 201411 yr I burp A LOT. It has decreased considerably. Thank God! I take the capsule in the morning and then have the strips in my purse just in case I need them in the afternoon. Lately, I haven't had to use them very often at all. It helped in the beginning with gas pains from surgery as well. I used to even burp in my sleep, my hubby told me. So sexy! Ha ha!
November 14, 201411 yr "Never trust a fart." OMG -- you aren't lying. I had surgery Monday and today is the first day I pooped. And then I pooped. (Thought it was a fart, but didn't take the chance on it.) You can't tell the difference!!!! They just slide out!!!! LOL. OMG!!!
