Good Morning????

Glad to hear all went well! Hope the nausea goes away soon.

Doing preop liquids day 2 can i have coffee?

Yes you can but after surgery I'm allowed only decaf coffee or tea.

Hi' date=' Sleeved on 3/11. Finally starting to feel myself but can't seem to get enough protein in. The Isopure makes me want to puke. The powder stuff - don't really know what to do with it. Tried to add it to broth, but it clumped up and looked gross. I wish I could drink the protein shakes. At least I'd be getting enough protein. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?[/quote']

My doctor Amy's first week is just about hydration so don't worry too much about protein. By second week you can have a decent tasting protein shake.

I'm being sleeved on Monday (March 18th). This is the 13th day of my liquid fast. I've lost 20 lbs since I began it on March 4th. I pray all be well with everyone.

So my surgery is Monday and suddenly I am a bit hysterical. I am pretty sure they told me to not eat after midnight Sunday but in my head I am wondering if they really said noon Sunday? I asked my friend and she said Midnight. I am going with this because I am sure I am just a bit crazy. Can't imagine not drinking anything after Noon on Sunday until my surgery lol!! what a wierdo I am...

I'm having my surgery march 27th. I'm super excited but super scared at the same time!! Good luck to everyone else!!!

Ill be having surgery March 25th. I finished my 5th day of the preop diet today and I'm counting down the days! I'm glad I found this thread with other Marchers. I know I'm not alone on this journey, it's just nice to see others here with me!

You're fine, it IS midnight! Safe surgery and successful!

March 21st in Harbor City, CA... Anxious and Excited!

Thank you for the reply... I am getting my bag packed now!! hee hee..

Had my sleeve the 14th. The worst part was the gas that they put in your stomach to do the surgery. I thought I was having a heart attack. Stayed two days in the hospital. I am on my liquid protein drinks 3 times a day and I really can't drink all I'm supposed too. But, today I started to crave some other foods and it really worried me. I guess when I start eating real foods that fill me up, that will go away, I hope. I came home with a drain tube, which is the pits. I get it out the 25th, start pureed foods that day too. Can't wait to get to that point. I've noticed when I drink too fast, I feel like my stomach has a bubble in it for a few seconds, so I've slowed down on that. Will keep everybody posted on my results as I get there.
