  1. Hey, My nausea has finally subsided, but finding it still hard to drink protein drinks. Tried smoothies and everything I know of. So afraid I will stall out and quit losing without my protein. How are you doing?
  2. Are you doing any better yet? I am still nauseated in the morning, till about lunch time. If I drink my protein in the morning, yuck, makes me sicker. I have been trying to eat higher protein foods, but then I feel miserable. I am not at the point where I am glad I had it yet. Seems like my weight loss has slowed down. I just want to feel like myself again or at least have some energy.
  3. Okay, it will soon be a month since my sleeve surgery. Getting really nauseated in the morning. Saw doctor today, said this is normal. Lost 22 lbs. so far. Not really feeling that great. Cannot seem to drink all my protein I should. Kind of makes me sick to think about it at times. Doctor said I would feel better in a few more weeks. I can't wait, cause up until now, I have been thinking, "what have I done"?. I know it will be worth it, especially when I can eat more variety. Anybody having trouble with protein?
  4. Had my sleeve the 14th. The worst part was the gas that they put in your stomach to do the surgery. I thought I was having a heart attack. Stayed two days in the hospital. I am on my liquid protein drinks 3 times a day and I really can't drink all I'm supposed too. But, today I started to crave some other foods and it really worried me. I guess when I start eating real foods that fill me up, that will go away, I hope. I came home with a drain tube, which is the pits. I get it out the 25th, start pureed foods that day too. Can't wait to get to that point. I've noticed when I drink too fast, I feel like my stomach has a bubble in it for a few seconds, so I've slowed down on that. Will keep everybody posted on my results as I get there.

    getting nervous

My surgery is tomorrow and I also have an anxiety disorder and am really nervous. I think," what am I doing"? Just got to try and be positive and pray, pray, pray, that everything will go okay.
  8. Sorry, Melinda1, my computer kept coming up with an error when I tried to answer you. I was on a low carb. diet for 14 days prior to surgery and now am on my second day of clear liquids. I have got to be at the hospital in the morning at 5:40 am then surgery around 7 to 7:30. Glad it's early. Yesterday i had some doubts about all this, but it's something I have wanted what seems like forever and to get this close and give up, don't think so. Will let you know how I do, when I am able.
  9. Good Luck to you too!!!!
  10. Had preop visit today at Drs. office and hospital. I really wasn't nervous like I thought I would be. My surgery is this Thursday, March 14. Hope I'm as calm as I was today. Start my clear fluids in the morning, for two days. Can't believe it's finally happening. Keep me in your prayers.
  11. My surgery is scheduled for March 14th. I am really getting nervous now. I am a very anxious person anyway. Does anybody else feel this way? And most people around me, besides my husband are really discouraging me, especially my sister. She says she just worries. Okay am I gonna die or something? I know there is risks, but I need some encouragement now Please!!!
