Hey everyone! I have been snooping on the forum for a while, but have never posted. My date is set for March 19th as well. I start the preop diet tomorrow. I'm excited & nervous. I don't have much support for this decision, so that is scary. Good luck everyone!

I'll support you and so will everyone else on this forum. My surgery is March 19th too... I an anxious terrified and excited.

March 19 as well!!!! Shannon, u have tons of support here. I made the decision to tell everyone whether they agree or disagree in the end our decision is the only one that matters! Good luck all march sleevers!!!!

I have a 2 week pre op diet of low carbs' date=' low fat & sugar. It's hard but I'm sticking to it. As hard as it is for me, I Realllly feel for those of you that are on all liquid...kudos! Who of use here are doing which preop diet?.[/quote']

I only have to do 1 wk of pre op dieting, starting 3/12. Surgery is the 19th & my pre op diet is all liquids. My Dr prescribed 6 packets of no sugar added Carnation Instant Breakfast with 8 oz skim or 1% milk, plus fat free broths, sugar free jello, water with sugar free add ins (i.e. crystal light). Post surgery, Im stocked with Unjury whey protein powder - chocolate, vanilla, chicken broth, & cheese sauce. It's the best tasting protein powder Ive ever tasted!! Gettin SOOOOO excited!!!

March 25th here' date=' start my liquid diet on Monday the 11th.......SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!dde01

Had preop visit today at Drs. office and hospital. I really wasn't nervous like I thought I would be. My surgery is this Thursday, March 14. Hope I'm as calm as I was today. Start my clear fluids in the morning, for two days. Can't believe it's finally happening. Keep me in your prayers.

In the 14th too. Good luck!!!!!

Were you dieting before your liquid diet?

I'm 14 th too. I've been on liquid diet since the 28th

Good Luck to you too!!!!

I'm going in tomorrow! They first called to tell me to be there at 10 am then they called to ask if I wouldn't mind rescheduling for Wednesday. I said heck no! I had already taken the magnesium citrate! Then they call to say to be there at 7:50 am. Not happy about all the calling especially on the day before surgery. Find it very unprofessional. Just praying the surgeon does her thing and doesn't mess up. Nonetheless, excited despite the bumps on this journey :)

This sort of thing always gets to me. I totally agree it is unprofessional and creates unnecessary doubt.

Good luck tomorrow! Please let us know how things went as soon as you are able????

Thanks Melinda1. I sure will!
