  2. Will be 1 week post op tomorrow. Beginning to feel much better. Looking forward to phase II of the post op diet. How's everyone else doing?
  3. The pain is about 2 inches to the right of my largest incision just under my right rib. It feels like I was hit under the rib with a ball bat, especially if I happen to cough. I don't think it is due to my gallbladder, but anything is possible. I will def. contact the surgeon's office on Monday even if better to find out biopsy results, etc. Thanks again, everyone.
  4. Ok,thanks everyone. All of your replies have been helpful. I guess I just need to be a little more patient with the pain in that area. Hopefully, I will turn the corner soon. :-)
  5. I am 5 days post op and am doing pretty well except for a continuous pain under my right rib about 2 inches from my largest incision. Nothing was ever said by my surgeon or his office about a liver biopsy pre-op, but the morning of surgery the nurse asked me to sign a consent for the VSG and a liver biopsy. I questioned the biopsy, but she said it was typical so I went ahead and signed as I was already pretty anxious about everything that was about to happen. My question is.....how common is a liver biopsy with the VSG and if so has anyone had continual moderate to severe (at times) pain under your right rib area? I could understand a liver biopsy had there been previous abnormal labs or questionable cancer, etc, but not sure how this ended up being a last minute add-on to my surgery. Yes, i should have asked my surgeon more before my discharge but I wasnt as concerned at the time because I thought I was just having incision pain at the time. Now, I am becoming a little more concerned. I welcome others thoughts/ experiences with this. Thanks
  6. Had my surgery 7:30 Monday morning. Discharged yesterday evening. Had a pretty rough first night at home with nausea and dry heaving. My abdomen is very, very sore from that. :-(( Trying to get my fluids in this morning and walking as much as possible. Praying it does get easier with each day that passes. Hope all if the other March 18 people are doing well!
  7. Count me in. I will be sleeved Monday morning 3/18, also. I can't believe the day is almost here.
  8. Yes, we are! Lots of luck to you, neighbor! The 18th will be here before we know it!
  9. This is great! Thanks so much for sharing your list!!! I've been trying to put together my list for March 18. This is very helpful. Lots of luck with your surgery!
  10. March 18 in Charlotte,NC. Can't wait!
  11. Any fellow March 18/Charlotte,NC sleevers ?
  12. Any other Charlotte, NC sleevers on March 18?
  13. I'm right there with you. Starting my pre- op diet tomorrow and surgery on the 18th also. Cooking for my family will definitely be a challenge. We can do this, though. Will just have to keep remembering why we are doing this. It will definitely be worth it all! Wishing us both lots of luck!
  14. I'm the 18th, also. So excited, but nervous too. :-)
  15. Just got a surgery date of March 18!! Wow! Much sooner than I had planned, but so excited! Good luck to all of the other March sleevers!
  16. Thank you! Good luck with your surgery on 3/6! That will be here soon! Please keep us posted as well. :-))
  17. I am hoping for a March 25 surgery date. I called Cigna Thursday and found out I was approved, but the surgeon's office won't put me on the calendar until they have the approval in " black and white". I would have thought they could call Cigna themselves and get something faxed to them or get verbal authorization to at least get me scheduled, but that wasn't the case on Friday. I'm sure the month between now and 3/25 is plenty of time to get the " official" black and white via snail mail. I don't mean to sound impatient, but I do need to let my employer know in advance of when I will be taking off work. March 25 would be great because it will be right at the beginning of Spring Break and my 17 year old daughter could be home with me after my husband returns to work. I guess with all of the frustration I went through with getting the insurance approval, I am really excited and anxious to get this going. Thanks for listening to me vent. :-)
  18. Lots of luck with your surgery on Tuesday! Please let us know how you are doing!
  19. Thanks so much! Ready for my new lease on life!
  20. So excited! After a long wait and many hoops jumped through, I finally found out I was approved this afternoon when I gave Cigna that daily call that I've become accustomed to making. Now to get my surgery scheduled. :-))
  21. Approved today!!!! So excited! Hope I can get my surgery date scheduled when I call my surgeon's office tomorrow.
  22. Hi, there, Keystone28. Dr.Gersin at CWM is my surgeon. It's good to hear that others have had a good experience with CWM. I am sure you are excited that your surgery will be soon. My case was submitted to Cigna for insurance approval a month ago. Still waiting. I call Cigna everyday. Today they said they should have an answer by Friday. Frustrating, as I need to make arrangements in advance to take time off from work. Praying for approval soon. Keep us posted on how your surgery goes. :-)
