For dinner I had 1/4 cup of mashed potato and 1/4 cup of hormel turkey n bean chili. I mixed it in the bullet (so much for not blending meat lol) and it was actually delicious... I ate the whole thing... Shouldn't I be full???? I didn't feel any restriction... I'm two weeks n 2 days out...

Thanks

Puréeing is a good thing to do. the reason why you were probably able to eat so much is because of the meal you had wasn't really dense protein.. You will want to work up to eating a more Protein based meal. You will then feel. The restriction. And will only be able to eat about 1/4 cup

Oh and you may not have full sensation back in your stomach yet... That's why it's very important to measure! :)

Probably not with acception with your few first meals or so off liquids at 1/2 cup only. I am 1- 1/2 months, eat more, fill up some of the times I eat, feel restriction now, didn't before.

oops, 1/4 cup, not half, sorry

I personally never felt the full feeling while on puree, but once I started on solid I can tell when i'm full. Good Luck.

careful eating too much this early out. Your stomach is not healed yet and the nerves are not back to 100%. Keep measuring!

I did measure... Should I be eating less?

Everyone is different in what they can handle but personally I don't think 1/2 cup is going to be to much, 1/2 cup is 4oz so that is actually the amount my surgeon had recommended for a meal when I was on full liquids.< /p>

But it sound like she is on the purée stage' date=' so 1/4 cup would be more appropriate ?[/quote']

Yes I am on the purée stage... So mixing them together made 1/2 cup... Is that too much?

That is so different with each doctor! But with my plan I was told 1/4 cup at a time..

I would do mostly chicken with a little gravy puréed or chicken and a little bit of broth and a tiny bit of mashed potatoes .

..sorry, don't want to misrep whats going on, rewrite is I was also on 2 oz 2 weeks and more out., and it isn't filling allot of the time, kind of comfy some of that time and after a while and then once you advance you'll get to feel ristriction when you'd fill the space more times as you eat. 1/2 cup at this point in time doesn't do it so much either depends I think also on fluids I drink just prior to eating,

thanks

Bullets great, I have the Nutri Bullet not the regular, I can add some greens into a small cup veg juices once or twice a day with limits and not so much with fruit now a days. I replace afternoon snack with this.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
