submitting on Monday

Recommended Posts

So this is definitely been a long time coming and I really cannot believe that it is now time to submit for approval to my insurance company I was supposed to get my surgery back in July but because of a pre existing condition wait period I had to wait until today January 18th if you have had insurance for 1 year and have the pre existing condition wait period be over. After my to doctors appointments today I rushed home to call my insurance company and confirm that the wait period is now over and that is exactly what they told me I then went to my surgeon's office for my nutritional visit and it was the first time since my first appointment that I was actually in a good mood because I knew that I was close to the end. At the conclusion of a visit with the nutritionist I was so happy and almost in shock that it really really really might happen the girls at the desk told me that they could submit as early as Monday and I should hear something either by the end of next week or early the following week. Just thinking about the phone call of them telling me that I am approved is more than enough to get me emotional. I told my closest friends when they get that phone call I'm probably going to react as if somebody proposed to me because it has been such a long time coming. In my dreams the song by Kelly Clarkson a moment like this should be on cue and waiting to play as soon as I get my phone call. I really cannot believe that it is time for 1 of my biggest dreams to come true and I am so so so excited I cannot wait to share all of my good news with you guys out there!!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
