Liquids don't fill me up

Recommended Posts

I had my band to sleeve revision on January 8th. I'm reading a lot about people feeling full from the Water. I can drink any amount of any liquid and it doesn't affect me. I'm starting to worry. Any one else with the same problem?

The most common reason for not feeling full during the liquid phase is that you may not be getting enough Protein. You need to be getting 60 grams of protein per day. This can be achieved thru Protein Shakes and drinks. Most protein shakes are about 20g and I like the Isopure Zero Carb drinks which contain 40g of protein.

Grape Frost is unfortunately one flavor I did not like. Are you using the powder or the ready to drink bottles? Get the bottles.. way better! I did not like Passion fruit either.

Love: Apple Melon, Blue Raspberry, Icy Orange and Mango Peach. Alpine Punch is pretty good and have yet to do the Orange pineapple banana one.

I had my revision on the 9th, and I am not having any problems with my Clear Liquids. I am beginning to worry that my sleeve is too big or is leaking. My diet plan from my surgeon and nut will not allow me to start my Protein supplements until day 7. I hate feeling hungry!! Best of luck to you!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
