Why won't the scale move? ?

Recommended Posts

I guess im really just venting because I know or at least I hope the scale will eventually move....but I havent lost anything in 9 days. I was 7 weeks post op on tues and Ive lost 36 lbs. 7 preop. Im not doing anything different than I have been. Only eating between 600-800 calories a day. It just seems so early on for such a long stall. Im trying not to dwell on it because I know it unfortunately isnt going to happen overnight. But just a little down about it....

Because your body is adjusting - rearranging the deck chairs so to speak.

I seem to stall every three months or so for a hard month - then it starts to move again. Rarely do my cals go over 900 in a day, but I have to always be on it to get all of my fluids in - which is what I think impedes my losses. i am starting to ramp up my exercise now as well.

don't forget it isnt a race - you will get there, your body will give it up when it is ready - just keep following your Dr. and NUT's plan.

Thanks for the advice and words of encouragement. I will continue with my plan and try to practice patience.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
