Dec 10th sleeves? How are you?

Recommended Posts

So frustrating not seeing the scale move for 2weeks. I know I know don't watch the scale' date=' but its frustrating. I'm only down 18lbs and scale only fluctuates up 2lbs and them back down the 2lbs. I have 60-65 more lbs to loose.[/quote']

I feel your pain. Scale hasn't moved for me since 12/23. I finally stopped weighing every day bc that was just getting frustrating. Last time I weighed was Saturday and today I'm down 4lbs! I have a lot more to lose than you do so I was hoping that it would come off a little faster. But when was the last time I lost 21.5lbs in a month? And 53.5lbs I a few months? Never! So i will take it. ;-)

Try to stay positive. Are you working out? I had a follow up apt yesterday and I think my Dr wanted better results too. He said I should be working out and that should accelerate the weight loss. Of course listen to your own dr and their plan! I wish us all stallers patience ;-)

Just updating here...

Have been stalled for the last two weeks or so and actually gained 5 pounds overnight... I'm now losing again!

I had to lose the weight that I gained so suddenly and am now down to 192. Sooo happy that darn stall finally broke!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
