Nope. I talked to Lizette (the Med Asst) today and age said she is forwarding my file to Dr Chu to review and then once she gives the "ok" the surgery scheduler will contact me to schedule. She said that I HAVE to be at the exact date (or lower) to schedule and I have to be at the exact weight (or lower) the day of surgery or surgery will be cancelled.

She said did say that Dr Chu is scheduling for Late Feb early March at this point. So that is good. I think I'm going to just dance and jog all weekend... Everything I do will be dancing or jogging.... I'll jog to the bathroom... Dance in the shower... maybe do a combo of the two when I go check the mail... LOL!!! I WILL be down to my goal weight on Monday! Mark my word!!!!

I'll be thinking of you all weekend! And as far as weigh in the day of surgery, the rn who weighed me (still fully dressed with shoes on, I thought it was gonna be after I was in a gown) said she was only weighing so they could calculate meds. Has anybody actually been turned down the day of surgery, or is it just a scare tactic?

I was over by .5 of my goal weight and got the okay. Day of surgery showed me having gained 2 and here I am now, sleeved. Unless you gain like 10 pounds by surgery date, you should be fine

Hello! Feeling great! I'm seven days out now (well, I guess right days since its almost midnight) . Had horrible nausea and gas pains for the first couple of days... Not I feel absolutely "normal". My abdominal muscles are still sore, but nothing horrid. Feels like I've been working out my abs hardcore. ;)

Having difficulty getting in all of my fluids, but I keep pushing along. I did have a pretty big breakdown last night from all of the emotional ups and downs. I have been preparing all meals for my family since surgery and its been a bittersweet duty. I love being able to smell the food and to cook, but as soon as I'm done and they are eating (and I'm not), the reality sets in. I KNOW it's temporary, but never the less, it's hard to deal with.

Other than that, life has been good. Very grateful that I was able to have this surgery done!

Tomorrow morning I start on introducing yogurts, sf pudding, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and sf apple sauce. It will be nice to have a bit of substance to my diet now. ;)

Thanks for checking on me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
