Me too. Had to cook: collard greens, ham steaks, Mac and cheese with rotel, and yams.

Got to have the pot liquor from the greens with hot sauce. Still so good! And had a tiny bite of ham, chewed thoroughly. Later on will have chicken broth with chipotle and tamarind (lots of hot sauce. Kinda like a hot and sour Soup without eggs...

Focus on family and friends instead of food. Think about what changes you will experience before your next Thanksgiving. Good luck!

My brother is freezing some of his great brined turkey to have in turkey salad in 2 weeks. The food doesn't bother me today at all!

I know...some people have asked me why in the world I did this right before the holidays. But, I just think of all that weight I would be GAINING over the holidays like I usually do and it makes me feel a little better. At least we won't have that to worry about later.

So true Vidalia, I was sleeved 10/8/12

I'm so glad that I won't be able to eat like before and that I will not gain weight like other years. Thanks to my surgeon and sleeve

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
